Description

Red-eyed tree frogs are found in tropical lowlands from southern Mexico through Central America and into northern South America — nocturnal hunters that sleep by day stuck under leaves with their markings hidden, then flash their red eyes and blue-and-yellow flanks when disturbed. The design lets it glide through topwater obstacles like weed and pads, and despite the small body it still creates enough disturbance to pull fish up.
